The most useful descriptions are about character rather than equipment. Someone who has explained difficult things patiently for thirty years, or a teenager who is bored but polite: those give a designer something real to work with. Requests for a deep male voice or a bright female voice describe a range rather than a person, and usually return something generic and forgettable.

Characters need consistency more than novelty

A voice that sounds good in one scene and slightly different in the next breaks the illusion faster than an unremarkable voice used consistently. That is exactly what saving a design achieves. Interface voices have a narrower job

An app narrator answers, confirms, and warns, often within a second of the user acting. Warm and slow is the wrong direction there, because brevity matters more than character. Designing the voice for an interface usually means fewer takes with a flatter delivery and a shorter tail on every phrase, so responses do not feel sluggish when a user is waiting on them.

Where a designed voice should not be used

Designing a voice is not a route to imitating a real person. A description that amounts to a famous actor under another name is still an impersonation, and a designed voice presented as a genuine recording of somebody real is deception, whatever the interface happens to allow. Used as a fictional or clearly disclosed narration, it is a production tool like any other.
